I have no idea what I am doing. None.
That was the voice screaming in the back of my head as I picked up my first film SLR camera in 2003. I had shot film before, loads of times. Child of the 80's - film was all we knew! (I'm not even sure that digital was on my radar in 2003.......) But this was different. A proper camera. One I could control and manipulate.
Fast forward 15 years and I've shot everything. 35mm film SLRs, digital SLRs, mirrorless, full frame mirrorless, Medium Format film, 35mm film Rangefinders. The list goes on. I've been a portrait photographer. I've shot weddings. I've shot landscapes. I've produced stunning images time and time again. I've also been totally uninspired and uninterested in what I've shot more often than I can remember.
I still shoot different mediums. Film and digital. Now though, I shoot what I want. Only what I want.
I've found my Zen.
